Singer Al Jarreau has reportedly teamed up with hip-hop producer Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson, drummer for the Roots, on a new track for his forthcoming hits compilation. According to Billboard.biz, the multiple Grammy-winning singer recorded the tune "Excellent Adventure" with the production team of Richard Nichols and the Randy Watson Experience, the production/songwriting title adoped by R&B songwriter James Poyser and Thompson.
The brand-new tune will be included on the upcoming Rhino Records compiltaion
Al Jarreau -- The Very Best Of: An Excellent Adventure, due September 29th. The set will include "We Got By" the title track from his 1975 Warner Bros. debut; his Grammy-winning version of "Take Five" from Look To The Rainbow,; the Grammy winning 1981 performance of "(Round, Round, Round) Blues Rondo A La Turk"; and "Moonlighting," the theme song from the hit television show.
